DESCRIPTION:Information\nBack on the Grit now the weather has improved… Gritstone will be at its best… A good trip to those who are keen to lead\, those with families\, and those wanting to push their grades… Something for everyone. Limestone and hillwalking are local options too… \nServices\nBring cash as there are few banks or cash machines but gear and food available in Hathersage… as we are planning to climb on the Eastern Gritstone edges. \nAccommodation\nIlam Hall YHA has currently got plenty of room\, good parking and sells food and alcohol on site… and there’s a pool table. LINK HERE. \nFood\nBring trail food. Food at the hostel or use the members’ kitchen (downstairs – behind the pool table). \nTransport\nCar is the obvious option. Get in touch with Jim as soon as possible if you need a lift or pick up from a train station (Hathersage is on the Manchester/Sheffield line). If we are climbing on Western Grit then Leek may be a better target station… Good luck! \nItinerary\nDrive up Friday 8th March 2024 and plans to climb on either the Eastern or Western Gritstone edges\, dependent on weather. Climb Saturday and Sunday morning before the drive home. We will agree the crag via the WhatsApp group on the Friday\, when we have a better idea about the weather.
