SUMMARY:Somerset Climbing Trip
DESCRIPTION:Meet at the Club’s Somerset Bunkhouse and aim to boulder\, sport and trad climb on limestone… all within 20 minutes. Friday evening bouldering at Ubley Warren rocks. Saturday sport and trad at Cheddar Gorge or Avon Gorge\, depending on your preference… Sunday morning visit to Fairy Cave Quarry for more sport and trad. \nAccommodation: Free space at Jim’s house… book early and you may get a bed. Otherwise\, bring a sleeping bag and floor space available. If you need privacy then bring a tent as I have a big garden. \nFood: Free food at Jim’s… I will cook evening meals and there is always something for breakfast… bring your own lunches and alcohol. Anyone travelling from Denmark\, please bring me a 6 pack of Tuborg Classic. Thanks! \nServices: Post Office and local shop 2Km up the road. Cash machine service if link is working. 3 pubs within 10 minute drive. \nTransport/travel: Plenty of parking at Jim’s. If any of the Danes are keen (you should be) then I could pick you up from Bristol airport\, after work on Thursday after 17:00 (direct flights – Easyjet and Friday is Store Bededag) but you would need to get a couple of buses or a taxi to return on the Monday (direct flights – Easyjet) as I will be working. I can manage up to 4 Danes in my car for the weekend so you wouldn’t need to hire a car unless you wanted to… Let me know as soon as possible and I will reserve a space! SUMMARY:Cornish Granite 2019
DESCRIPTION:It’s about time the club returned to Cornwall. The last trip was in August 2013. May half term is a great time to be there\, with a good chance of decent weather. The campsite at Pendeen is within easy reach of the West Penwith crags (Bosigran\, Sennen\, Land’s End\, Chair Ladder\, etc) and is in a field behind a good pub. The climbing is varied and excellent. The walking is amazing as well. While the campsite is not bookable\, Andrew will arrive early on Friday and get established there. \nEmail Andrew at avicm1954@gmail.com if you want to join us. \nAccommodation: The North Inn\, Pendeen\, Penzance\, Cornwall TR19 7DN Tel.: 01736 788 417 http://thenorthinnpendeen.co.uk/ No need to book\, but do let Andrew know that you’re coming so he can reserve you a pitch. It is a bank holiday weekend. \nAmenities: There is a Costcutter shop in Pendeen and more extensive shopping and facilities nearby in St Just. The camping is fairly basic (only £5 pppn) and we use the pub facilities. The pub also does B&B and meals. Monday is a bank holiday. \nMeet: At the campsite on Friday evening for up to five days of Cornish delight. Plan is to head home on Wednesday\, but stay as many days as you like.

DESCRIPTION:Meet at Idwal Cottage YHA for the regular Club Family and Skills Weekend… Thousands of climbs to go at… Saturday traditionally finds us on Tryfan Bach for those wanting children to climb or those wishing to introduce themselves to leading or multi-pitch climbing. Club members will be available to offer advice. Plenty of climbing to go at for those who are happy with what they are doing. There is normally a group that decides to walk and will tackle a local peak.
