Whilst Scottish winter is always serious\, there can be options for introduction into this discipline… Get in touch with Jim early as he may be able to lend you some ice axes.\n\nServices\nFort William offers all required services including food\, cash and kit (including kit hire if you get in touch early enough – most gear shops will rent out crampons and ice axes).\n\nAccommodation\nSYHA Glen Nevis… we stayed here last year and it was recently refurbished… and very comfortable. https://www.hostellingscotland.org.uk/hostels/glen-nevis/\n \nFood\nPlenty of shops to buy breakfast and lunch… The SYHA has a members’ kitchen and a canteen that provides breakfast only. Bring your own or we may visit a pub…\n\nTransport\nCar is best… get in touch with Jim if you need a lift and we will see what we can do. Trains to Fort William are frequent from England.\n\nItinerary\nIt will all depend on weather and avalanche conditions but the dream is to climb on the north face of the Ben… No II Gully being a good introduction to that whole arena.
