Plans to climb trad and boulder on the best crags\, following the best weather…\n\nServices\nEverything you need in Ashbourne or Buxton\, up or down the main road… If we are meeting on the Eastern Grit\, then shops in Hathersage and Castleton… Bank machines less available than you’d think…\n\nAccommodation\nStaying at YHA Ilam Hall\nYHA Ilam Hall Hostel | Cheap Dovedale\, Peak District Accommodation\n\nFood\nThe hostel has a shared kitchen and a full breakfast and evening meal service… It is remote so we tend to stay at the hostel.\n\nTransport\nHathersage is on the Sheffield to Manchester train line if we climb on the Eastern Grit. Ashbourne is the nearest transport hub to the hostel.  Get in touch with Jim if you need a lift and he’ll see if there is an option…\n\nDates\n9th to 11th January 2026.
