SUMMARY:Maria’s Scottish Winter Mountaineering Trip 2018
DESCRIPTION:ravel up on Saturday 10th Feb or Sunday 11th February and stay 3 or 4 nights\, leaving on Wednesday 14th Feb 2018. \nStaying at Aviemore SYHA Map ref OS 36 (GR893119) telephone no: 01479 810 345 email: aviemore@syha.org.uk \nPlans are to climb in Coire an t-Sneachda\, Coire na Lochain and Hell’s Lum – there are plenty of Grade 1 and 2 climbs\, so good introductory climbs and lots to push the grade. Some big Grade 3\, 4 and 5s as well\, so good stuff for the bold. The walk-ins are quite easy\, a drive up to Cairngorm car park\, then about 1 to 2 hour walk in on reasonably easy ground for the nearest routes. \nThe hostel has kitchens and you can bring your own food. Plenty of shops in Aviemore to buy food if you need to. The Skiing Doo is the cheap bar/restaurant we will go to during the trip and we normally finish off with a big night out at one of the hotel restaurants on the last night (Tuesday). \nFor those who are keen\, book yourselves in to the Hostel and then arrange a lift.\nYou cannot miss this trip!\nMaria.

SUMMARY:Ali & Dave's Christmas Hike
DESCRIPTION:The hiking division  will depart for its annual Christmas saunter on Wednesday 27th December.\n\nCome and join us for some post Christmas turkey carb off-loading and a winter stroll in the Peak district.  We’ll aim to do 7-9 miles departing at 9am from a location to be confirmed and finishing in a Derbyshire hostelry by 4pm. (The route & start point will be decided the day before & is subject to weather conditions).   Departure at 8am from Nottingham.\n\nEnjoy sumptuous views\, stimulating conversation and feasting on seasonal survival snacks: ).  This year\, the hiking division has doubled its numbers and  are  going out in force as a group of 5. SUMMARY:Ché’s Autumnal Wainwright Wanders
DESCRIPTION:Join Ché\, Dave\, Andrew and Jim on an autumnal wainwright wander.  Staying at Windermere YHA on the Sunday night and Coniston Coppermines YHA on the Monday night.  The vauge plan\, weather permitting\, is to walk the Kentmere Horseshoe on the Sunday so meeting at Kentmere at 10am.  If you fancy joining us on this then please get in touch in the case the plan changes.  If not meet at Windermere YHA on the Sunday night.  Dave and Jim plan to climb Giant’s Crawl at some point.  So Autumn\, Wainwrights\, Climbing\, Drinking and cheap beds!! \nHopefully see you in the lakes!
