SUMMARY:Isaac's Cornwall Trip - 3/4 June 2023
DESCRIPTION:Join me in my home county ready to climb some classic rock routes\, some lesser known inland crags and everything in between! \nInfo: The plan is as follows but is subject to change… \nDrive down on Friday evening and leave on the Sunday after climbing all weekend. Climb in the South West area\, around the classics in Sennen\, Chair Ladder and Bosigran all day Saturday. \nThen on Sunday drive home diverting to Roche Rock. Roche Rock is an outcrop of rock with ruins of a Gothic chapel built on top with an altered granite rock type with ‘gritstone-like friction.’ Grades ranging from D – E4! \nAccommodation: Probably at YHA Land’s End\, (St Just-in-Penwith\, Cornwall\, TR19 7NT). Hostel rooms\, bell tents\, camping pods and camping are all options. DESCRIPTION:Synopsis: A grit trip to Yorkshire for the weekend of the 10th and 11th of June 2023! \n  \nInformation: There are several very good crags in the Yorkshire dales\, including: Rylstone\, Crookrise\, Ilkley and Almscliff. Limestone close by (Malham) and hill walking if that’s what you want… \nPlenty of routes for all levels\, perfect to get more experience on grit in a different setting than the Peak! \n  \nServices: Bank services and shops in Skipton. The YHA has a kitchen so bring your own food. \n  \nAccommodation: YHA Malham… book early as it isn’t big… \n  \nFood: Bring it with you! \n  \nTransport: Car is the obvious option… Get in touch with Jim and he will coordinate lifts and pick ups if you need it… Skipton is the local transport hub. \n  \nDates: we will drive up on Friday 9-June-2023 and come back on Sunday afternoon 11-June-2023. \n  \nOrganisers: Mattieu Isik and Bryony Bull.

DESCRIPTION:Join Jim back in Somerset for Trad\, Bouldering\, Sport and some Hill-Walking (at a push)… Something for everyone.\n\nInfo: Join Jim back in Somerset for Trad\, Bouldering\, Sport and some Hill-Walking (at a push)… Something for everyone. Meet up at Jim’s house on Friday 1st July 2023 and climb at local venues on Friday\, Saturday and Sunday… Venues include: Avon\, Cheddar\, Goblin Combe (if we can find a crag)\, Sand Point and quite a few quarries… if we must. Bouldering venues from the new guidebook… plenty to go at. \n \nServices: Post Office and local shop up the road. Cash machine if the link is working. 3 pubs within 10 minute drive. We may end up on a visit to one of them on Sunday afternoon. \n \nFood and Accommodation:\nFree at Jim’s house. Book early and you may get a bed. Otherwise\, bring a sleeping bag and floor space available. If you need privacy\, then bring a tent as the garden is big. Dogs very welcome but they are not allowed to chase the sheep! Or the cows! Or my next door neighbour\, the farmer will have words with me. I will cook evening meals on the BBQ and there is always something for breakfast. Bring your own lunches and alcohol. Anyone travelling from Denmark\, please bring some Tuborg Classic… and just to point out\, this is not available at the airport\, so you need to buy it and put it in your hold luggage… [I know!] Thanks…\n \nTransport and Travel:\nPlenty of parking at Jim’s. Bristol by bus or train and then local buses out to West Harptree available. Get in touch with Jim if you need a pick up. If any Danes are keen\, then get in touch with Jim.
