SUMMARY:Grit for Christmas 2021
DESCRIPTION:Arrive Friday 17th December late in the evening. Meet up early at the crag (we’ll decide this on Friday when we know the weather) early and chase the grades and the routes. Climb Saturday and repeat Sunday before the drive home…\nStaying in Edale so the usual haunts means the Eastern Gritstone edges… Stanage\, Burbage\, Froggatt and Curber\, Gardom’s and Birchen. If time and weather permit\, then maybe get some bouldering in too. For those who prefer sport and limestone\, the quarries around Stony are not too far away. There are enough circular routes and pubs for those who prefer to go for a walk. I am hoping to convince a few of the Manchester or Nottingham crowd out for the day but if you are keen for a longer stay\, please get in touch with Jim. \nAccommodation and Food:\nStaying at Newfold Farm in Edale and the link is HERE . Cheap and fine… There are shops in Hathersage to buy food and a small outlet at the campsite. A few garages on the drive in have reasonable supplies. We’ll probably eat at the pub over the road on Friday and Saturday night.
