DESCRIPTION:Christmas training day! \nArm fatigue? Sore grip? Bad day at the crag? \nYou need a climbing training day to strengthen your leg muscles\, perfect your footwork and reset your neural pathways! \nCome and join us for a Christmas walk and get together on Sunday 19th December\, 9.30am at Nether End Car Park\, Church Lane\, Baslow DE45 1SR. \nOur route takes us from Baslow along the River Derwent via the Derwent Heritage way before ascending through Hay Wood to the start of Froggatt Edge. From here we’ll make our way following three beautiful edges\, Froggatt Edge\, Curbar Edge and Baslow Edge before descending through the woodlands to return back to Baslow. \nHighlights include the Derwent river valley\, stunning views from the edges\, a festive coffee with the ‘Grit for Christmas’ climbing trip and numerous cake stops. \nThis is a circular walk of 11 miles with options to start the walk at different points\, so suitable for families or tired/injured climbers who wish to do a shorter walk! Please get in touch with the walk organiser for more details. Total ascent is 594m. \nIt is a paid car park in Baslow\, with very limited local street parking so please bring means to pay for the parking! \nIf you’d like to attend please get in touch with Ali at alisonsail@hotmail.com
