Jim, Eddie, Brynna, Colin and Michael took the trip to Kullaberg, staying in the DBKK hut overnight. We arrived Saturday morning, dropped the stuff off at the hut and then headed to the crags. Started off on a 2 pitch route on K2 area and then ab’ed down. Met some very pleasant Danes and climbed on the Nedre Vaggen. Brynna got another lead climb in (not easy at Kullaberg!). Michael’s first day climbing outside.
Got back to the hut by 19:00 to meet up with Janus, Dennis and Gilbert, the Danes from the crag… drank some beer and whiskey and enjoyed some banter… a night of snoring and a quick stop a Circle K for breakfast before returning to Bjornen area… Rain was coming in so we top roped several routes (along with our new Viking friends) and then all bailed for the cars. Back in Kobenhavn by 16:00.
The stay over was great fun and meant we could all get a lot of climbing in. A good venue to stay in the hut or just camp, and free for DBKK members and only DKK30 for non-members… highly recommended.
The two climbing areas visited offer some trad climbing, some multi-pitch and some top roped faces. All worth while.
