Friday saw the ascent of Tryfan by First Pinnacle Rib, with the infamous Yellow Slab. Two teams of three, with Jim, Jake and Dan in the first team and Andrew leading Andy and Heath in the second. A very successful first big climb for some. The next morning we all climbed on Idwal and then a few of us got to include the Milestone. Dave and Alison ticked a couple of summits from the Molwyns to the Glydereau. Special mention to Heath who got up everything thrown at him… well done Youth!
The hostel was great as always and remains one of the 17 spiritual homes of the Club. The weather was much better than predicted and yet again we got to climb on some of the easy Classics of the area. There was a controversial use of a selfie stick… Who’d have thought?
