Several of us met up on Thursday 20th February at the DPC Hut and promptly went to the Moon Pub for dinner… An early start Friday got us to Burbage South bouldering and a morning of grit at its best, and a rare sighting of Fumeus Davidus….

Great bouldering and then a plan to join the Cornwall group at Froggatt… To be fair and flag it up, they did some very impressive stuff at Burbage North with some exceptional grade pushing… Well Done Guys!

An afternoon of trad and some more punchy climbs at Froggatt, the numbers built and we got back to a hut at full capacity. A great night at the hut, courtesy of our hosts the DPC. This really is the best hut in the Peak, and we are proud we have a long-lasting connection with such an esteemed outfit. Thanks Guys!

Saturday promised storms… And Stanage was in the clouds, so we retreated to Burbage North and got a full day in, (we got lucky, and the weather just got better). It was great to meet new prospective members, and it was a good turnout for the Club…

Thank you to all those who got out to join us. It was a great day and it was made by so many of us meeting up together. The levels of support and encouragement that led to the many successes (Banana Finger E1 6a – 2 mats, 14 arms, beta and banter, 5 ascents…) just highlighted how we are the Club that keeps… (You know it).
