Some of us travelled up early and got some ice and mixed practice on low faces near the CIC Hut… only to meet most of the others on the Sunday evening to find conditions poor for Monday. Better weather was promised Tuesday so a forced rest day gave us a big ‘Blue Sky’ (BlueBird?) Day on Beinn a’Choaroinn, climbing the East Ridge…

Wednesday gave us a failed attempt to walk into the North Face of the Ben, with winds just too high to compete… and Thursday gave us a cheeky water ice steal in the region of Ben Nevis lifts…

Ten of us in all met up, for a quality few days and demonstrated we are the Club that… With a sociable time had both on the hill and in the hostel. Talk of the next trip taking some of us to Norway… Just to find that Nordic Water Ice… Watch this space…
