Meet up Saturday morning at 09:00 and walk over to Smallacombe Rocks. Spend the morning bouldering and then back to the cars for a short drive round to Haytor and some classic Trad. If staying over, then options to take in some of the classic trad on the Tors or checkout bouldering around Bovey Tracey, on the road back east…

Bovey Tracey has banks and shops and is a convenient stop off on the way over the Moors… Bovey is the self-appointed ‘Gateway of the Moors’ and will provide all the necessaries…

Accommodation:
Some of those in the South West may treat this as an extended day trip but for those that want to stay over…
Saying that, none of the campsites are open until April so it’s a case of find somewhere on the drive in or wild camp… which is allowed on Dartmoor. The National Park normally publishes a map to wild camping and local restrictions, including camping 100m from the road and not in sight of any buildings. Currently, during lockdown, this advice has been removed.

Food:
Better bring your own and be self-sufficient but pub options are available if the world is open… and if it’s not, then we won’t be there.

Transport:
Cars are the new eco option…
