Hope everyone is well and enjoying the summer.  I’m organising a trip to the English Lake District from Wednesday September 18th to Sunday 22nd, staying at the Windermere YHA, postcode LA23 1LA. It’s actually near Troutbeck, not far from Ambleside and handy for the walking and climbing honeypots of Langdale, Coniston and Grasmere, and Keswick and Ullswater are also easy to get to from there.

At the moment there is plenty of hostel availability with private rooms, shared rooms and camping. Andrew M and I will be there for all 5 days but expect many to just do the weekend. We plan to make the most of it and go rock climbing, roped scrambling, and Wainwright summit bagging (hiking).
