Grit in December 2022

Join Jim and Jake on a trip to the Peak, to visit the Eastern Gritstone edges (again) for a revision in Trad. Venues decided on the day (probably Stanage!) and shared on the WhatsApp group, to get the best of the weather but the plan is to get out on the Trad and get the mileage in… bouldering, sport and trad on Limestone and hill-walking all accessible too. Gritstone offers a good introduction to Trad climbing so this is a good trip to build your experience…
Info:Meet up Saturday 3rd December 2022 at the crag… venue to be shared via the WhatsApp group on the Friday night/Saturday morning. Climb Saturday all day and Sunday morning before the drive home Sunday lunchtime. This would be a good trip to attend if you are keen to develop your trad climbing on Gritstone. Please get in touch with Jim.
Services:Banks available in the cities on the way into the Park… Chesterfield, Derby, and Manchester…. Plenty of bakeries, cafes and pubs, gear shops and stores for all your purchase options in Hathersage…
Accommodation:Staying at YHA Ilam Hall… link
Food:Probably best to be self-sufficient but a there are plenty of pubs down in Ilam. There are (just) enough options in Ilam for breakfast and lunch too.
Transport:Ilam accessible by car and bus. If you need a lift, then get in touch with Jim and he will try to coordinate something.
