Information

Andrew, Jim, Keith and Nigel will be heading North for some fun on the rock in Lancashire and Yorkshire. We will arrive on Friday, staying at the YHA in Ingleton. Saturday will be at Trowbarrow where we’ll find good routes at all grades. We have one particular route in mind. Dress code: denim. Back to Ingleton on Saturday night. There’s lots of other climbing possibilities in the area, so we could climb on Friday and Sunday as well. Possible crags would be Twistleton Scar or Witches’ Quarry (trad), or trad/sport at crags between Ingleton and Settle, for example at Giggleswick North or Giggleswick South.

There are shops, pubs, restaurants and takeaways in Ingleton. The Co-op has an ATM and there is Inglesports for gear. Self-catering or booked meals at the YHA.

Transport

Probably cars. Nearest train station is Ribblehead on the Settle-Carlisle line. Good connection to Leeds.

Itinerary

Arrive on Friday to climb if agreed. Otherwise meet at YHA on Friday evening or at Trowbarrow on Saturday morning. Possible second venue on Saturday (see above). Climbing on Sunday for those not in a hurry to get home.
