Return to the Club’s most southern UK bunkhouse (finally!) and aim to boulder, sport and trad climb… and then drink cider (joking!)… all within 20 minutes. This was the best trip of the year in 2019 (and nothing happened in 2020) so don’t miss out!

Friday evening bouldering at Ubley Warren Rocks. Saturday sport and trad options at a variety of close locations including: Cheddar, Avon Gorge, Goblin Coomb, Fairy Cave Quarry and Sand Point to name a few… Read the last (valid) trip report to this location for more information… Families very welcome. And the only trip that has a Scandinavian fire pit and more whisky that all the attendant ‘Daves’ and ‘Dans’ can drink…

Accommodation and food

Free at Jim’s house. Book early and you may get a bed. Otherwise, bring a sleeping bag and floor space available. If you need privacy, then bring a tent as the garden is big. Dogs very welcome but they are not allowed to chase the sheep! Or the cows! Or my next door neighbour, the farmer will have words with me. I will cook evening meals on the BBQ and there is always something for breakfast. Bring your own lunches and alcohol. Anyone travelling from Denmark, please bring some Tuborg Classic… Thanks!

Services

Post office and local shop 2km up the road. Cash machine if the link is working. 3 pubs within 10 minute drive. We may end on a visit to one of the local pubs if allowed…

Transport and travel: Plenty of parking at Jim’s. If any Danes are keen (you should be) then get in touch with Jim and we’ll try to arrange pick up. Bristol airport is 20 minutes away and has direct flights from Copenhagen. Everyone else, get in touch for directions to my house.
