Somerset Spring Trip 2020
Cheddar Cheddar, United KingdomJoin a few of us when we set off to Brean to check out the climbing there and then on to Cheddar to get a few more routes in… Nothing too pushed, just a chance to get out in the first of what we hope to be the dry weather in Somerset to start the season off.
The AGM 2020
Carlswark Cottage (DPC Hut) Stoney Middleton, United KingdomA chance to push your grade on trustworthy Gritstone or wonder what you were thinking on polished Peak limestone, trad at Stanage, sport climbing at Horseshoe Quarry and bouldering opportunities all over the place (possibly in the rain, just like last year), plenty of walking over the tops and enough activities to keep children and adults happy, away from the outdoors, if that’s what you need … so, something for everyone.
The Return to Somerset
Return to the Club’s most southern UK bunkhouse and aim to boulder, sport and trad climb… and then drink cider (joking!)… all within 20 minutes. Saturday sport and trad options at a variety of close locations including: Cheddar, Avon Gorge, Goblin Coomb, Fairy Cave Quarry and Sand Point to name a few… Read the last trip report to this location for more information…

Clip it!) to Trad Master (I’ve just led Yellow Slab with 2 nuts and a sling!)… You will need to operate as an independent team to join us on this trip as we are determined to tick off some key routes and may have Andrew joining us on the rope already.
Hound Tor or Bust
Hound Tor Hound Tor, Newton Abbot, United KingdomJoin some of the Southern Set for a day (or possibly two) out at Hound Tor for bouldering and trad.
With any luck, we might be able to stay over and climb Sunday. Currently, the group stands at 4 and
we can have 6… though that might change too. If a second group ventures here we will keep our
distance and wave.
