Trad on Grit!
YHA Hartington Hall Bank, Hartington, BuxtonJoin Jim and Jake on the Grit whilst we still can… plans to visit the Roaches (or Gritstone anywhere) and climb what we can. We are probably restricted to teams of 6 in October so please contact Jim if you plan to go and we will arrange climber teams to match Government directives…
Now that’s what I call a Corona Christmas walk
Nottinghamshire Nottinghamshire, United KingdomIn time honoured tradition and despite these strange times, we’re pleased to announce that our traditional seasonal gathering will be going ahead.
In order to respect Tier 3 travel restrictions currently in place, this year ‘Ye Olde Christmas Walke’ will leave its traditional home in the Peak district and take place in neighbouring Nottinghamshire on Sunday 27th December. Unfortunately, restrictions also mean that this year’s walk is only open to members who are local residents.
The Club wishes that everyone read and understand the current rules for their Tier.

AGM 2021 (Never again let us have to do this online!)
Newfold Farm Campsite Grindsbrook Booth, Edale, Derbyshire, United Kingdom*New dates*
Here are the amended details for the AGM, with new dates. See email sent on Friday 27/2/21 before booking campsite. Please let Jim know that you are booking so that he can add you to our risk assessment.
After last year’s AGM, we are all super excited! Plans this year include camping so we have posted the dates a little later… for those who like the comfort. Camp in the heart of the Peak District at Edale, climb more Grit than you know what to do with then sit at a camp site and wave at each other… discussing the merits of Amazon toilet tents…
David Judge’s Over The Moors Trip
YHA Edale Nether Booth, Hope Valley, United KingdomA venture onto the Kinder Plateau to search out some forgotten Gritstone… this may be a day out from Nottingham or Manchester or weekend visit for those further afield… Who knows? The whole trip is really to justify the Club buying the ‘Over the Moors’ guidebook by Martin Kocsis. Plans to meet up at Edale at 09:00 on Saturday 05.06.2021. We will make plans on the day. Possible venues may include: Upper Tor, Nether Tor or The Woolpacks. If the weather is that bad, then we might just go for a walk, though Kinder Downfall might go in the rain?
Jake’s Kernow Trip
YHA Land's End Letcha Vean, St Just-in-Penwith, Cornwall, United KingdomJoin me in my home county ready to climb some classic rock routes, some lesser known inland crags and everything in between!
Return To Somerset 2021
Cheddar Cheddar, United KingdomReturn to the Club’s most southern UK bunkhouse (finally!) and aim to boulder, sport and trad climb… and then drink cider (joking!)… all within 20 minutes. This was the best trip of the year in 2019 (and nothing happened in 2020) so don’t miss out!
