BMC Gower Climbing Festival 2018
Pitton Cross Caravan and Camping Park Gower, Swansea, United KingdomThe annual BMC Meet in Gower is a great opportunity to join other climbers and walkers at a beautiful venue in South Wales. Dave G and Andrew attended two years ago and had a great time. There will be some skills workshops for adults and for children, and a speaker and climbing pub quiz on Saturday evening. The BMC team cook breakfast on the campsite in the morning to raise funds for the South Wales Bolt Fund and local Rescue organisations. Costa Blanca is rightly regarded as one of the best destinations anywhere for winter sun climbing (So the bible says). Benign climate and massive amount of rock available. Cliffs available vary from tiny roadside buttresses, to long multi-pitch full-day trad routes and ridges (you are better of bringing a small rack for the longer routes, and ridges).

Fontainbleau Fun in the Forest
Camping La Musardiere Routes des Grande Vallées, Milly La Foret, Ile-de-France, FranceJoin us for bouldering and walking in the Forêt de Fontainbleau in Spring 2019. In March 2018, Dave G and Andrew did a recce and are keen to get back for a second visit. It’s not just about the bouldering. The forest is a vast recreational resource, and cyclists, runners, backpackers and families with picnics go there to lose themselves in nature. The bouldering is some of the best in the world with thousands of lumps of sandstone spread across the area. Oh, and the food and drink are amazing too.
