The Jim and Lorenz ‘Follow the Weather’ Trip
Peak District , United KingdomI am meeting Lorenz at Birmingham Airport at 18:45 on Tuesday 19.02.2019. We plan to climb in Snowdonia if conditions permit (and if the ice is in, then we’re up for it too) or two days in The Peak if that’s what’s on offer. We are operating as a team of two on this trip and will chase all that’s available but you are welcome to join us in a climbing team if we make it to Snowdonia or anyone to join us anyway if we climb in the Peak…
Fontainbleau Fun in the Forest
Camping La Musardiere Routes des Grande Vallées, Milly La Foret, Ile-de-France, FranceJoin us for bouldering and walking in the Forêt de Fontainbleau in Spring 2019. In March 2018, Dave G and Andrew did a recce and are keen to get back for a second visit. It’s not just about the bouldering. The forest is a vast recreational resource, and cyclists, runners, backpackers and families with picnics go there to lose themselves in nature. The bouldering is some of the best in the world with thousands of lumps of sandstone spread across the area. Oh, and the food and drink are amazing too.

Crags such as Froggatt, Curbar, Baslow and Birchen are only a five minutes drive away, as well as some limestone crags within walking distance of the hut. Cornish Granite 2019
The North Inn Pendeen, Cornwall, United KingdomIt’s about time the club returned to Cornwall. The last trip was in August 2013. May half term is a great time to be there, with a good chance of decent weather. The campsite at Pendeen is within easy reach of the West Penwith crags (Bosigran, Sennen, Land’s End, Chair Ladder, etc) and is in a field behind a good pub. The climbing is varied and excellent. The walking is amazing as well. While the campsite is not bookable, Andrew will arrive early on Friday and get established there.

Dave’s Lake District Trip
Windermere & Coniston Coppermines YHA Bridge lane, Troutbeck Bridge,, Windermere, United KingdomHope everyone is well and enjoying the summer. I'm organising a trip to the English Lake District from Wednesday September 18th to Sunday 22nd, staying at the Windermere YHA, postcode LA23 1LA. It's actually near Troutbeck, not far from Ambleside and handy for the walking and climbing honeypots of Langdale, Coniston and Grasmere, and Keswick and Ullswater are also easy to get to from there.
