  • The Club’s annual Christmas hike on Thursday 27th December.

    Come and join us for some post Christmas Pudding carb off-loading and a winter stroll in the Peak district. We’ll aim to do 7-9 miles departing at 9.30am from the Surprise Car Park above Hathersage. Departure at 8.30am from Nottingham.
    The walk will aim to cover Peak District icons such as Mother Cap, Over Owler Tor, Carl Wark, Higgar Tor, Burbage Edge and Lawrencefield.
    Enjoy sumptuous views, stimulating conversation and feasting on seasonal survival snacks, like Christmas cake and mince pies. We have Smokey Dave, Che, Ali and friend already signed up, should be a great day.

    In time honoured tradition, we will embark on ye annual Christmas walk in the Peak District on Sunday 22nd December. This year’s trail will be a feast of gritstone gloriousness fit for a King, or maybe even three.

    In time honoured tradition and despite these strange times, we’re pleased to announce that our traditional seasonal gathering will be going ahead.

    In order to respect Tier 3 travel restrictions currently in place, this year ‘Ye Olde Christmas Walke’ will leave its traditional home in the Peak district and take place in neighbouring Nottinghamshire on Sunday 27th December. Unfortunately, restrictions also mean that this year’s walk is only open to members who are local residents.

    The Club wishes that everyone read and understand the current rules for their Tier.
