Up at 4:00am, left at 4:55am, arrived at Dolgellau for a second breakfast (highly recommend the café to the right of the main square – she opened 10 minutes early to get us tea and bacon sandwiches). Got to the car park by 8:10am, a longer walk in than we thought but geared up and on the route by 10:30am (Cyfrwy Arete, Diff 120m with 200m scrabble off). Cracking route, and we can’t recommend it enough! Great climb, lots of exposure but fair… steep wall was interesting above the pinnacle on pitch 4. We were back in Nottingham in the pub by 5:45pm.
