‘Is this a dagger I see before me?’ Logan contemplating true Shakespearian advice on the possibility of Simpsonesque rope cutting…
Several travelled north of the border, Glen Nevis SYHA this time, with a view to climb in Glencoe and the Ben. Weather gave us one fine, long day in Glencoe, in Stop Coire Nan Lochan. Two teams (both alike in dignity), one climbed Boomerang Gully (Grade II) and the other climbed Dorsal Arete (Grade II). There was a fair amount of traffic to slow us down but both teams met up at the top for the long plod down… A bit longer than we remembered…
Weather gave low level walking the next day and a chance to walk into view the North Face routes on the Ben the following day. The SYHA at Glen Nevis has been refurbished recently and is very accommodating. Access to Glencoe and the Ben remain a real reason to visit this venue. Plans to return next year are in play. No sign of Ben Fong’s Fish and Chip Emporium,,, that was an institution not to miss back in the day…
Hope you enjoyed the photos.
