More than we thought, turned up earlier than we planned, at Hound Tor, in better weather than was promised … We got straight into some trad climbing for the first half of the morning before a general move to bouldering.
Many impressive ascents and some no less impressive falls and failures… With so many mats and spotters, the bouldering got wonderfully intense and by 14:00, those who could carry on headed to Bonehill.
Some more ascents before some occasional light rain made it all a bit stop start… Plans to camp here for a trip to Honeybag Tor the following morning were put aside as Sunday promised heavier rain in the morning. Nevertheless, +10 hours climbing led to typical levels of exhaustion that granite excels at delivering and we had a good time.
Hope you enjoy the photos …
