With 12 in the Hut and 5 or 6 more expected for day visits, we were expecting a busy weekend. An early arrival (Thursday night) meant some of us got some bouldering in… although the door still doesn’t work and it took a short while to get the code sorted… Still… The hut is a little tired (many of us remember it from the early 90s), but what a venue!
We climbed from early morning to the late evening… Friday was damp but we got stuff done… Then everyone turned up when the weather got better and we climbed all evening. Saturday was also successful and lots got done… The real value of this venue is that, because it is right next to the crag, whatever the weather chooses, you get the very best of the crag, picking off the routes as the routes come into condition. A quick rest and then back on it… And when we would normally get tired and head home, a stop, a rest and then two hours of bouldering, followed by some outdoor eating and then all the usual climbing Shinanagans…
Great trip, hope you enjoy the pictures…
