Join us for bouldering and walking in the Forêt de Fontainbleau in Spring 2019. In March 2018, Dave G and Andrew did a recce and are keen to get back for a second visit. It’s not just about the bouldering. The forest is a vast recreational resource, and cyclists, runners, backpackers and families with picnics go there to lose themselves in nature. The bouldering is some of the best in the world with thousands of lumps of sandstone spread across the area. Oh, and the food and drink are amazing too. |

The Club’s 2018-19 AGM will be held again at the Carlswark Cottage in Stoney Middleton, near to lots of Grit and Limestone climbing. The hut belongs to the Derbyshire Pennine Club and will provide a great base for getting out climbing or hiking in the peak district over the course of the weekend. Crags such as Froggatt, Curbar, Baslow and Birchen are only a five minutes drive away, as well as some limestone crags within walking distance of the hut.
